Welcome to our site and 28 years of combined motherhood. Let us introduce ourselves:

Dayna:

Howdy from Dayna, a born and raised Texan! And also a proud member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 2000. WHOOP! I mostly grew up in San Antonio, but did spend a few years in College Station. I knew from an early age I wanted to go to A&M, so as a first born I did everything I could to make sure that happened. While at A&M, I met my husband of almost 20 years; We got married Dec 2000. We spent a few years in Lubbock while my husband attended a MD/MBA program and I received my Masters in Secondary Education. Each of our four children has a different personality and has brought different experiences to our lives;  they are 17, 15, 11 and 9 years old. Before having children I suffered from anxiety and depression off and on, but after my second child I experienced PPD. I also discovered I most likely have ADHD and OCD, quite the combo if I do say so myself. I have mostly been a SAHM, but have also taught grades 7-12 for a total of 7 years. We have lived in a small rural community in North Central Texas for the past 13 years. I really enjoy cooking and baking, and have started cooking meals for friends. I also like home improvement and organization projects, although depending on when you see my house, you might not believe that. When our youngest was born, we decided we wanted our kids to see the 48 contiguous states before they graduated high school, so we take a road trip every summer. A few years ago, I took up running, despite having asthma, and eventually started going to the gym to lift. Which brings me to now; I’m a SAHM trying to raise my kids to love God and those around them, all while making sure they have the skills they need to survive in the world.

Jessica:

I’ve always thought “about me” write ups were so odd to read and to write. How do you explain who you are in a short write up without sounding completely conceited? You really can’t but here is a little of the good and a little of the no so good. My name is Jessica and I have mostly lived in Texas my entire life. I went to Jr. High and High School in Childress and then bounced around a lot until settling in Hillsboro. I got married at 22; divorced at 36. I have a Bachelor’s in Business Administration but immediately after college I became a stay at home mom for 11 years. I worked part time at a MDO program that my kids attended off and on for about 8 years while I stayed home. I have 3 boys that are all completely different and require completely different communication and parenting styles. I love to watch my kids play sports, clean and organize my home, cook, redo furniture, learn how to use power tools, and I’m one of those obnoxious people that workout for fun. I’m a type 6 on the enneagram if you even know what that is, so yes, I suffer from anxiety and depression for seemingly no reason other than this is just the way God made me. Oh and while going through a divorve, while staying home with my kids for distance learning during covid, I decided to get my real estate license and I am now a full time real estate agent.
